Bruichladdich Legacy Series Single Malt

I had the absolute pleasure of sampling the Bruichladdich Legacy Series Six, 34 Yr. Old Islay Single Malt today. Wow!

The sixth and last bottling from the Legacy series, Legacy 6 is a marriage of six casks from 1965, 1970, and 1972. Soft and mellow on the nose and palate; for such a mature whisky, the oak--while certainly there--is surprisingly restrained. Delicious notes of creamy vanilla, banana, and caramel are interspersed with spicy notes of cinnamon, mint, and even teaberry. The finish is pleasantly soft, fading out gently. The Legacy VI is the last but not the least in this very rare series of Bruichladdich's oldest whiskies.

A simply amazing, stellar end to the Legacy Series. Liquid Gold folks, liquid gold!
