Time For Some R & R

R & R
1.75 oz. Redemption Rye Whiskey
.75 oz. Rhubarb/Star Anise Syrup
.75 oz. up to 1 oz.  Fresh Lemon Juice
.5 oz. Barolo Chinato
Healthy dash of Burlesque Bitters
Shake well with ice
Fine-Strain into a chilled cocktail glass that has been rinsed with Absinthe
Sprig of fresh mint for garnish

Tasty cocktail using rye whiskey and my new favorite flavor combination:  Barolo Chinato and home-made rhubarb/star-anise syrup.  Throw in some Burlesque bitters and fresh citrus, and you've got yourself a delicious cocktail with layers of flavor.
